PC Pete Brachaniec, Roads Policing Unit, Cheshire Police
Pete Brachaniec has been a police officer for 14 years, having worked in a number of different departments and roles. In 2012 Pete transferred from Merseyside Police to Cheshire Police where he was successful in gaining a place on the Roads Policing Unit.
Pete works within the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit as a qualified forensic collision investigator. The unit attends fatal road traffic collisions and provides a comprehensive scientific reconstruction of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Pete has attended numerous courses in order to be classified as an expert witness in forensic collision investigation and reconstruction.

This presentation will explore the possible causes of road traffic collisions with an emphasis on commercial driving, and the forensic reconstruction of fatality road traffic collision.
