Mark Trimmer has been in his current role for 15 months. Prior to this, he was a police officer for 31 years and a senior road death investigator. He has also has worked for a road safety charity as regional operations manager and as road safety partnership operations manager.

In  his capacity as programme development manager for the DfBB programme, his role is to engage with the public and private sector businesses to improve work-related road risk, and bring about a radical change in how organisations think about road risk.

Ultimately, his brief is to improve the level of compliance for all those that drive or ride for work, and to demonstrate the significant associated business benefits.

Mark will use his presentation to give an overview of the DfBB programme, a Highways England scheme to deliver improvements in work-related road safety.
